Riyadh and Ankara sign agreements in energy, investment, defense fields

Saudi Arabia and Turkey have signed several agreements and memorandums of understanding in the fields of energy, investment and defense. The signing ceremony took place in Jeddah following a meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The agreements cover various areas of cooperation and aim to implement joint projects.

 

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the signed documents include a memorandum of understanding in the field of energy and another memorandum of understanding related to direct investment. Additionally, an action plan has been established to facilitate the implementation of projects in the defense industry, research and technology. The Saudi ministry of defense has also signed two agreements with Baykar, a Turkish company known for producing Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles.
