The head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, compared the US plans to create a new international agreement on the development of the Moon with the invasion of Iraq.
"The principle of invasion is the same, whether it is the Moon or Iraq: the creation of a "coalition of consents" (alternatively, a "coalition of willing") is initiated, and then, bypassing the UN and even NATO, if there is anyone in doubt, - forward to the goal," he wrote, in particular, in his microblog on Twitter.
All this, according to Rogozin, can lead "to another Iraq and Afghanistan."
Earlier, Reuters reported, citing unnamed sources, that the administration of Donald Trump is preparing a draft of a new international Treaty on mining the Moon. It is planned to involve Canada, Japan, the European Union and the UAE.
Russia will not be among the participants in the agreement at first.
