Rosgeologiya Holding discovered oil and gas reservoirs on the territory of Uzbekistan as a result of the geological exploration work and will continue to study them in 2023. Sergey Gorkov, the head of the holding, told TASS.
"Yes, we have results. We have found oil and gas reservoirs. Next year we will continue a detailed study," he said.
Gorkov explained that Rosgeologiya has discovered gas structures on the territory of Uzbekistan. "There is a field, but we will understand the size and other details after the stage next year," he added.
According to him, the current stage of exploration in Uzbekistan will be completed in 2023. In addition, the holding is negotiating to continue the work in April-October next year. "As for Uzbekistan, no one did [exploration works] in the Aral Sea there in the Soviet period. We did them. And the main thing is that there is a result, quite successful," he concluded.
