Rosoboronexport to showcase Russian defense industry products in Saudi Arabia for the first time

Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec State Corporation) will for the first time present products of 20 Russian defense industry enterprises at the debut World Defense Show 2022, which will be held from March 6 to 9 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the company's press service told reporters on Saturday.


"Rosoboronexport is organizing for the first time an exposition of Russian defense industry enterprises in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Topical novelties and the most demanded samples of arms and military equipment will be presented at the debut World Defense Show 2022," the statement said.


Rosoboronexport reported that within the frames of a unified Russian exposition at World Defense Show 2022, more than 20 enterprises from the largest holding companies-manufacturers will present their products.


The press service specifies that Rosoboronexport will show samples for all types of the armed forces at its stand. The company will demonstrate the IL-76MD-90A military transport aircraft, Mi-28NE attack helicopter and Orion-E reconnaissance and attack drone, Karakurt-E small missile ship, Amur 1650 diesel-electric submarine, modernized Msta-S self-propelled howitzer for 155 mm caliber popular in Saudi Arabia.


In addition, the Rosoboronexport stand will feature models of the Typhoon-K and Typhoon-VDV protected vehicles, as well as the Kupol anti-small drone countermeasures complex.


The press service informed that within the framework of the business program of the exhibition Rosoboronexport expects to hold numerous negotiations with representatives of military and political leadership and business community of Saudi Arabia as well as countries of the Middle East and North Africa. The meetings are expected to discuss the further development of bilateral military-technical cooperation and joint projects on industrial partnership.
