Rosturizm called on Russian citizens not to travel abroad

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Rosturizm called on Russian citizens to temporarily cancel travels outside the country.


"Rosturizm recommends Russian citizens to temporarily cancel traveling outside the Russian Federation until the epidemiological situation is normalized," the Agency said in a statement.


Tourists are recommended to contact the tour operator with a request to postpone their travel. Russian tour operators, in turn, are recommended to temporarily stop sending Russian tourists abroad and provide maximum assistance to tourists in rebooking tours at a later date.


According to the latest data, the number of people infected with the new coronavirus in Russia has reached 199 people.


In the world, more than 209 thousand people in 166 countries have been infected with the coronavirus, and more than 8.6 thousand died.
