Russia, Iran and China are holding consultations in Moscow to assess possible scenarios following the expiration of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and UN Security Council Resolution 2231, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko told reporters.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova confirmed to TASS that expert-level talks among the three countries would take place in Moscow on April 8.
"The discussions cover a range of scenarios that could unfold after the current UN Security Council resolution expires — that's scheduled for October 18 this year," Rudenko said.
He added that the parties are paying close attention to what might happen next with the nuclear deal, especially amid Washington’s increasing inclination toward using force to resolve the issue.
