Russia and Burkina Faso discuss cooperation

In Sochi, on the sidelines of the Russia – Africa Summit, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov met with President of Burkina Faso Roch Marc Kaboré.

 

According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed topical issues of further development of traditionally friendly Russia-Burkina Faso relations, including maintaining an active political dialogue, enhancing mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, future joint projects, and strengthening partnerships in humanitarian, educational and other fields. 

 

Burkina Faso is a state in West Africa, a member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. As for the religious composition of the population, 60.5% are Muslims, 23.2% are Christians and 15.3% are followers of aboriginal cults.
