The Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov has met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Comoros Islands Mohamed El-Amine Souef, who has arrived in Moscow for participation in the 5th Ministerial Session of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum.
Diplomats have discussed the issues of further development of traditionally friendly Russian-Comorian relations «with an emphasis on promoting practical cooperation in the trade, economic and investment fields, including construction, maritime transport, energy, and personnel training».
In reviewing the regional agenda, based on the desire to strengthen the polycentric foundations of the modern world, the proximity or coincidence of the principled positions of Russia and Comor was confirmed, the search for collective responses to global challenges and threats.
In addition, diplomats reaffirmed the focus of Moscow and Moroni on keeping political dialogue and tight coordination of Foreign Policy approaches, including within the UN and at other international platforms.
