Today, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke over the telephone with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt Sameh Shoukry.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the ministers had an in-depth discussion on the developments in the Middle East and North Africa with an emphasis on the situation in Libya. They reaffirmed their intention to continue close cooperation in order to settle the crises and ensure peace in the region.
The officials also touched on several relevant aspects of Russian-Egyptian bilateral relations.
