Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov received Ambassador of Egypt to Russia Ihab Nasr at the latter's request.
During their conversation, the officials reviewed a number of practical matters of preparation of the Russia-Africa summit to be held in Sochi in October this year under the co-chairmanship of Russian and Egyptian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
They conducted a detailed exchange of opinions regarding the situation in the Middle East and North Africa in the context of Moscow and Cairo's focus on further strengthening bilateral foreign policy cooperation in regional and international affairs.
