Special Presidential Representative for the Syrian settlement Alexander Lavrentiev and Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin held, as part of Russia’s interdepartmental delegation, bilateral consultations with the Egyptian delegation headed by Yasser Osman, Deputy Foreign Minister of Egypt.
There was a detailed exchange of views on the issues of resolving regional crises that are on the permanent agenda of the UN Security Council.
Special attention was paid to the issues of political and diplomatic resolution of conflicts in Syria while respecting the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of the Arab Republic.
