Russia and Indonesia to Expand Trade Ties and Intensify Political Dialogue

Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko recently met with Umar Hadi, the Director-General for American and European Affairs at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to discuss enhancing cooperation in trade and economic sectors and intensifying political dialogue. This information was released by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

 

“There was a thorough exchange of views on the priority areas of Russian-Indonesian interaction. Steps were discussed to further deepen political dialogue, improve the legal framework, and increase mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, and humanitarian areas,” the ministry stated. The parties also addressed various regional and international issues and discussed their collaboration on multiple international platforms.

 

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that both parties agreed to commence preparations for celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Indonesia in 2025.
