Russia and Iran signed a protocol on cooperation in the energy sector. According to the message of the Russian Ministry of Energy, the co-chairs of the group, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Energy of Russia Anatoly Yanovsky and Iran's Deputy Minister of Oil Amir Hussein Zamaninia signed the document after the meeting of the joint working group on energy cooperation.

Participants of the meeting discussed ongoing projects of bilateral cooperation in the field of energy, as well as future areas of cooperation.
The signed protocol assumes cooperation in the oil and gas, nuclear energy, processing and power sectors. In general, the document contains 27 points.
