Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow Kazem Jalali at the latter's request. During the conversation, the parties had a thorough exchange of views on the situation in Syria.
The Ambassador was informed about the results of the Russian-Turkish high-level talks on March 5 in Moscow.
They stressed the importance of continuing close cooperation between Iran, Turkey and Russia in the Astana format in the interests of ensuring a long-term settlement in the Syrian Arab Republic.
