On the margins of the third international conference «The Future of Syria and the Region», the Deputy, which ended in Brussels, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Ryabkov, held a series of bilateral consultations, the main topic of which was the settlement issues in Syria.
In particular, a meeting was held with the Foreign Minister of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, at which the diplomats exchanged views on the issue of a political settlement was discussed at Ryabkov’s meetings with UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen, Secretary General of the European Foreign Service Helga Schmid, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium Axel Kenes, etc.
