In Bishkek, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Majlis (Lower House of Parliament) of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nigmatulin and the Speaker of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin. The parties have discussed preparations for the IVth meeting of Speakers of the Parliaments of the countries of Europe and Asia, which will be held on September 23rd-24th, 2019 in Nur-Sultan.
According to the press service of the Majlis of Kazakhstan, 48 countries have already confirmed their participation in the event, including 40 at the level of Heads of Parliaments, 16 International and Parliamentary Organizations.
Volodin has highlighted that such an unprecedented number of countries that have paid attention to the parliamentary forum in the capital of Kazakhstan says about the effectiveness of such a format for discussing issues at the level of Parliamentary Speakers.
