14 August

Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Moscow Rashed Al-Adwani have called for an immediate de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

The discussions focused on the urgent need for a ceasefire in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone to alleviate the high levels of military and political tension in the region. The ministry emphasized the importance of addressing the extremely tense situation in the broader Middle East.

Additionally, the meeting covered "relevant issues related to the further progressive development of the traditionally friendly relations between Russia and Kuwait," according to the ministry. The meeting was held at the request of the Kuwaiti ambassador.
