Russia and Kyrgyzstan are working on creating a joint air defense system

The Russian and Kyrgyz Defense Ministries are working on an agreement to create a joint regional air defense system,
TASS reports with reference to the Information Support Department of the General staff of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces.


"The Defense Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Russia are working on preparations for the signing of an international agreement on the creation of joint regional air defense system of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation as part of improving security", the message reads.


The document also regulates the conditions for joint use of Russian unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, as well as provides for "repair of the airfield zone, including the runway, which is the object of joint use".


Now in Kyrgyzstan there is the Kant Airbase, which is part of the united military base of Russia in the Republic.
