Russia and Malaysia agreed on joint fight against coronavirus

A meeting of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Nail Latypov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Hishammuddin Hussein took place in Kuala Lumpur. The parties, as reported on the Russian MFA's Facebook page, discussed issues of cooperation between the countries, including the joint fight against the coronavirus pandemic.


"On April 16, the Russian Ambassador to Malaysia, Nail Latypov, paid a courtesy visit to the Foreign Minister of Malaysia, Hishammuddin Hussein. During the conversation, they touched upon topical issues of bilateral cooperation, including the joint fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, " the message reads, in particular.


In Malaysia, according to the latest data, 5182 cases of infection with a new type of the coronavirus were detected, more than half of the infected recovered.


In Russia, about 28 thousand cases were registered, and 232 people died.
