Russia and Mali signed an agreement on military cooperation

Russia and Mali agreed on military cooperation. The ministers of defense of Russia and Mali, Army General Sergey Shoygu and divisional General Ibrahim Dahir Dembele, signed the relevant intergovernmental agreement on the fields of the international forum “Army-2019”.

 

 


“In our opinion, the intensification of military ties is in the interests of our two countries”, -  the Russian minister noted during the ceremony.

 

 


The agreement is expected to contribute to the strengthening of Russian defense relations with a West African country. Details of the document are not specified.

 

 


The international military-technical forum "Army-2019" started today. Delegations from 120 countries take part in it, including more than 40 ministers of defense and chiefs of staff.
