Russia and Qatar agreed to expand trade and economic ties

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke over the telephone with his Qatari counterpart - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.


According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during the conversation, the parties exchanged views on the progress of joint efforts by the relevant ministries and agencies of the two countries to further expand mutually beneficial ties between Russia and Qatar in trade, the economy, healthcare, education and other fields. 


They also discussed some aspects of the situation evolving in the Middle East. "The ministers reiterated their commitment to the agreement to compare notes regularly on important regional and international issues", reads the message.
