The United States and its allies continue to misinform the world community about the situation in Syria, what hinders the process of returning Syrian citizens to their homeland, a joint statement of the Interdepartmental Coordination Centers of Russia and Syria reads.
"The Syrian government is doing a tremendous job to establish a peaceful life in the country. The relevant UN structures recognized the compliance of the created living conditions for returning citizens with international humanitarian norms. Nevertheless, the United States and its allies continue to misinform the world community about the situation in Syria," the statement reads.
Such actions of the United States, as emphasized, hinder the process of returning Syrians to their homeland.
Separately, the statement notes that " in order to justify the legitimacy of its presence in Syria and to further retain control over the oil fields, the American authorities are trying to support the hotbeds of tension in Syria by any means."
Especially acute is the problem of the Rukban refugee camp in the US-occupied 55-km zone around Al-Tanf.
