A meeting took place in Moscow between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Vershinin and the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe Dunja Mijatovic.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of the Russian interaction with the Council of Europe in the human rights field.
The Russian side, at the same time, expressed concern about the spread of aggressive nationalism and neo-Nazism in the Council of Europe member states, as well as the problems faced by national minorities in most EU countries.
The Commissioner, in turn, expressed concern about the systematic violations of human rights in Ukraine.
