The Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov hosted the Ambassador of the Tunisian Republic in Moscow, Mohamed Ali Chihi.
According to the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, a meeting was held at the request of the Tunisian side.
During the conversation, the Diplomats examined practical issues of further developing the traditionally friendly Russian-Tunisian relations, including a schedule of contacts at various levels.
Meanwhile, Moscow and Tunisia have reaffirmed their mutual intention to improve the political dialogue, including in the context of the Russia-Africa summit scheduled for October this year, which will be held in Sochi.
The issues of settlement in the Middle East were also raised.
