Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexei Yerkhov and Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy discussed on Monday issues of safe vacation of Russian tourists.

"Ambassador A. V. Erkhov paid a visit to the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey M. N. Ersoy. During the meeting they discussed issues of safe vacation of Russian tourists in Turkish resorts, as well as the prospects for the development of Russian-Turkish cooperation in tourism and culture," the Russian diplomatic mission said in a statement published on its Twitter page.

Meanwhile, in early February Ersoy stated that the tourist season in Turkey would start in April with domestic tourism, and then guests would come to the country, especially from Russia and Britain. In mid-March, President Tayyip Erdogan expressed the opinion that the republic was ready to receive tourists from Russia, taking into account all necessary security measures.
