Russia and Turkey hold another joint patrol in Idlib

The Russian and Turkish military conducted the eighth joint patrol of the M-4 highway in Syrian Idlib.


According to the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, the length of the route was doubled.


“In accordance with the agreements between the Presidents of the Russian Federation and Turkey, reached on March 5, 2020 in Moscow, on May 5, the next, eighth, joint Russian-Turkish patrol of the M-4 highway section in the Idlib de-escalation zone connecting Aleppo and Latakia was held. The length of the route was increased twice, ”the message says.


According to the Center, two BTR-82A and the Tiger armored car were involved in joint patrolling from the Russian Federation. From the air, the movement of the column was controlled by the Russian Aerospace Forces drones.


The first joint Russian-Turkish patrol of the M-4 highway section in the Idlib de-escalation zone took place on March 15, 2020.
