Russia and Turkey resume joint patrols in Syria

Russia and Turkey have resumed joint patrols along several routes in Syria, the head of Russian Centre for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in the Syrian Arab Republic, Rear-Admiral Oleg Zhuravlev told a briefing.


"The joint Russian-Turkish patrols were held along the route Qamishli-Sheirek-Dellik-Kasrah-Arada-Qebira-Kasrah-Tawrat-Sh awkat-Dellik-Sheirek-Qamishli in the al-Hasakah governorate", he said, in particular.


Units of the Russian military police also carried out patrolling in the Aleppo and Raqqa governorates.


All events, according to Zhuravlev, were held "in accordance with the approved plans, without incident".
