Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan reaffirmed the importance of coordinated efforts between their countries to resolve conflicts in the South Caucasus and the Middle East. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“Various aspects of practical cooperation between Russia and Turkey in multilateral forums were discussed. The need for continued coordination of both countries' actions in facilitating the resolution of regional conflicts, particularly in the South Caucasus and the Middle East, was confirmed. The meeting also covered current issues of Russian-Turkish cooperation, especially in the trade and economic sectors. The schedule of upcoming bilateral contacts was reviewed,” the ministry stated, following the bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the “3+3” ministerial meeting in Istanbul.
