Russia and Uzbekistan sign memorandum on cooperation in protecting children's rights

Russia and Uzbekistan on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the protection of the rights and interests of children. The document was signed on the Russian side by the Children's Rights Commissioner for the President of the Russian Federation Anna Kuznetsova, and on the Uzbek side by her counterpart Aliya Yunusova.


As noted by Kuznetsova, the document lays the foundation for the development of bilateral relations in this area. "Everything that concerns children requires speedy decisions, professional actions that make various bureaucratic excuses impossible. The document will allow solving specific problems of specific children, we have put in it all that is necessary to build roads to solve children's problems," said Kuznetsova.


In turn, Aliya Yunusova said that the signing of this document is due to the need to define clear mechanisms for addressing issues of protection of the rights and interests of children of migrants, as well as issues for mutual assistance in this area.
