The Russian Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister, Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov with Nabil Abu Rudeineh, Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information and Member of the Fatah Central Committee.
During the conversation, the parties had a detailed exchange of opinions on the Middle East settlement and intra-Palestinian relations.
The discussion focused on the need to promptly restore Palestinian national unity on the PLO platform.
The Russian side welcomed the readiness of all political forces in Palestine to participate in the general elections in the Palestinian territories.
The officials also discussed current issues on the further development of traditionally friendly Russian-Palestinian relations.
