UN Security Council mission should be sent to the region of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Russia's Ambassador to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzia said at the meeting of Security Concil.
According to him, Moscow is making efforts to restore inter-Palestinian unity.
"We are making a contribution to the promotion of the whole range of issues of the Middle East settlement and call on all parties to do so. We confirm our readiness to receive the leaders of Israel and Palestine," Nebenzia said.
According to the diplomat, the UN Security Council mission could "build trust and help re-launch talks between the sides, support efforts that the global community has already made to build conditions to implement the only viable settlement on the international legal basis."
