Russia continues to patiently convey its arguments on Ukraine to Turkey - Peskov

06 September 2022

Russia and Turkey have disagreements on the topic of Ukraine, but Moscow continues to patiently convey its arguments on the topic to Ankara, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Izvestiya on the margins of the EEF on Tuesday.

"We have disagreements on a number of issues, and such disagreements include Ukraine in the first place. We do not agree with the position that Turkey takes on Ukrainian affairs, but we patiently continue to convey to our Turkish partners our arguments and what we are sure of, what we are convinced of," he said.

Peskov, who graduated in 1989 from Lomonosov Moscow State University's Institute of Asian and African Studies and is a turkologist, called Ankara an important partner of Moscow.
