Moscow values its relations with Bishkek and is determined to further develop them, according to Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President. His statement comes in response to reports that the United States may impose restrictions on Kyrgyzstan over alleged technological and military supplies to Russia.
"We have every intention of further developing our bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan, which we highly value, as well as expanding cooperation in all integration formats," stated Peskov when asked about potential risks to trade and economic relations with Bishkek.
Peskov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is a close partner and ally for Russia, and both countries actively participate in advanced integration processes within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. He highlighted the mutual benefits of this integration for Kyrgyzstan, stating that "the Kyrgyz economy stands to gain from the further development of the integration process."
