26 April 2019

The board of the Emergencies Ministry had delivered humanitarian aid to Harare for the people of Zimbabwe who were affected by the floods and destruction caused by the tropical cyclone Idai.

For instance, multi-seat tents, blankets and food weighing more than 30 tons were handed over to the authorities of the African country.

At the handover ceremony, the leadership of the Russian Federation was gratitude for the assistance provided.

It is worth noting that the delivery of humanitarian aid in Harare took place within the framework of the Russian operation to assist the Governments of Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi in eliminating the consequences of the unprecedented natural disaster in South-East Africa, where several hundred people were died. Several hundred thousand people were left homeless.
