Russia has sent humanitarian aid to Mozambique affected by floods

The EMERCOM of Russia plane has delivered a batch of Russian humanitarian aid to the Mozambique city of Beira, which was most affected by the cyclone “Idai”, causing unprecedented floods and large-scale destruction in South-Eastern Africa.

 

 


According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, multi-seat tents, blankets, vegetable oil, rice, fish and meat canned , sugar weighing more than 30 tons were transferred to the Mozambican side.

 

 

The governor of the province Sofala, Alberto Mondlane, said that Russian humanitarian aid was extremely urgent and stressed that it would help restore normal life in Beira and its surroundings as soon as possible.

 

 


As it is known that, Russian modules with medical equipment and drugs that are used by Mozambican doctors to combat the spread of infectious diseases were delivered to the city.
