Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received a delegation of the Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) of Lebanon consisting of Taymour Jumblatt, Deputy Chairman of the PSP, Halim Bou Fakhreddine, Personal Representative of Chairman of the PSP Walid Jumblatt in Moscow, and Lebanese Industry Minister Wael Abou Faour.
During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on the current situation in Lebanon and the Middle East region.
The Russian side reaffirmed its principled position in support of the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity of Lebanon, as well as its readiness to strengthen the entire range of ties with the country, including maintaining active contacts with its leading socio-political forces in the interests of ensuring national unity and stability.
