Russia is preparing to return the last group of children from Iraq

The last group of Russian children will leave Iraq at the end of September, Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Anna Kuznetsova told reporters after all-Russian forum of young families in Pskov.

 

 


"There are 30 children left. Everything is going according to plan. And we hope that all the children who are now waiting for their return will be in Russia by the end of September," she said, in particular.

 

 


Now, according to Kuznetsova, paperwork is being completed.

 

 


In total, 90 Russian children were returned to their homeland from Iraq to date.

 

 


Russia is working on returning Russian children from Syria as well. Orphans will leave the country first. There is no information on an exact number of such children on the territory of the Arab republic.
