"Russia – Middle East" International Expert Forum is held in Kazan

"Russia — Middle East"  International Expert Forum has started today in Kazan. The forum is organized by Primakov Center for Foreign Policy Cooperation in partnership with the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) with the support of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Gorchakov Public diplomacy Fund.

 

 


The event is timed to the 90th anniversary of the outstanding Russian statesman and diplomat Yevgeny Primakov birth.

 

 

 

Leading Russian and foreign experts from Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Palestine, and other countries are taking part in this event.

 

 


The main topics of discussion are general regional trends and the construction of a new security architecture in the region, Russian and Turkish approaches to security issues, opportunities and limitations of strategic partnership between Russia and Iran, participation of NGOs and military organizations in the Middle East processes, international formats of crisis resolution, aspects of post-war reconstruction of Syria and Iraq, etc.
