Russia plans to create a road map for cooperation between Russian and Kyrgyz universities

A road map for cooperation between Russian and Kyrgyz universities in the years 2022-2023 will be developed in the framework of the Association of Universities of both countries. A memorandum on its creation was signed at the II Forum of University Rectors of Russia and Kyrgyzstan in Yekaterinburg, the President of the Russian Union of Rectors, Academician, Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy said on Wednesday.


"And today we are ready for a new step. We are ready to sign a memorandum on the creation of an association of universities of Russia and Kyrgyzstan. <...> I propose several initiatives within the framework of the Association of Universities of Russia and Kyrgyzstan. I think it is important after the signing of the memorandum to start work on the road map of cooperation with the list of specific areas, stages and deadlines for implementation," said Sadovnichy.


According to the information from the presentation, it is planned to develop and approve the road map in October 2022. And in September 2022 it is planned to prepare the charter of the association and the concept of the site. According to Sadovnichy, the website will become a digital platform for the university communities of the two countries.
