Russia restricts air traffic with Iran due to coronavirus

28 February 2020

Starting from February 28, Russia has imposed a temporary ban on regular and charter flights from Russia to Iran and back, except for flights of Aeroflot and Mahan air.

As RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, flights to and from Iran will pass through terminal F of the Moscow Sheremetyevo airport. All flights from China have been transferred there, and from March 1, all planes from South Korea and Italy will also arrive there. Flights to other destinations have been removed from this terminal.

Earlier, Rosturizm recommended Russian citizens to avoid visiting Italy, South Korea and Iran because of the growing number of cases of coronavirus infection in these countries.
