Russia sends humanitarian aid to Iran to fight coronavirus

Russia has sent humanitarian aid to Iran to help fight the coronavirus pandemic, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov  told RIA Novosti.


"This was done, and we are working on possible further steps in this direction", he said, in particular.


Earlier, according to the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran Abbas Mousavi, Tehran received assistance from the WHO, as well as France, Britain and Germany.


According to the latest data, the number of cases of coronavirus infection in Iran exceeded 16 thousand, 135 people died during the day, 988 in total.


More than 160 thousand people in more than 150 countries have been infected in the world, and more than 6 thousand  died.
