Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin held a conversation with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict Virginia Gamba in Moscow.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the issues of preventing serious violations against children by parties to conflicts in various regions of the world.
The need to step up efforts to reintegrate child victims of armed conflicts was stressed.
Plans to strengthen interaction with the special Representative in the framework of implementing relevant UN Security Council resolutions were outlined.
Special attention was paid to the Russian experience of evacuating minor citizens of our country from war zones in Iraq and Syria.
