At the initiative of the Libyan side, Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Libyan Government of National Accord Mohamed Taha Siala.
During the conversation, according to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the latest developments in the development of the military-political situation in and around Libya were discussed.
At the same time, the Russian side confirmed its support for the efforts of the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Libya, Ghassan Salame, to promote inter-Libyan contacts within the framework of the 5+5 Joint Military Committee, as well as in the economic and political areas of resolving the Libyan crisis.
