Moscow hosted a meeting of the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov with the Chairman of the Supreme State Council of Libya, Khaled Mishri, who is in the Russian capital on a working visit.
During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on the settlement of the Libyan crisis. The importance of promoting an inclusive political process and the formation of unified effective state institutions of Libya was noted.
The Russian side supported the idea of holding a broad national conference with the participation of representatives of all political forces and regions of the country in the framework of the implementation of the UN Action Plan for Libya.
