Russia, Tajikistan agree on information security

Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin and Russia Sergey Lavrov signed several documents, including an intergovernmental agreement on international information security following a bilateral meeting in Moscow. This is reported by the foreign ministry of the republic.


It is noted that the foreign ministers signed two intergovernmental agreements - on cooperation in international information security and in the study and use of outer space for peaceful purposes. Moreover, the parties signed the protocol to the intergovernmental agreement of 1999 on conditions of accommodation and service of the diplomatic missions and consulates of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation and Russian ones in Tajikistan. "The ministers expressed satisfaction with the completion of the years-long negotiation process on the legal registration of diplomatic property of the two countries, which will help create favorable conditions for the activities of the embassies and consulates general of Tajikistan and Russia," the report said.


The sides discussed relations of strategic partnership and alliance, paying special attention to the intensification of trade, economic and investment cooperation and improvement of cooperation on migration issues.


The head of the Tajik diplomatic mission is on a working visit to Russia.
