Russia will open consular offices in Aktau, Grodno, Cancun and Samarkand, Ivan Volynkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Consular Department, told TASS.
The consular department actively works on expanding our consular presence by opening new consulates, including in the regions where the tourist flow of Russian citizens increases," he said. - "In addition we plan to open Russian consulates in Aktau (Kazakhstan), Grodno (Belarus), Cancun (Mexico) and Samarkand (Uzbekistan)."
Volynkin noted that "the work on a major increase in the staff of Russian consulates in the Asian, African, Latin American and, most importantly, in the direction of the CIS" is currently underway. " One of the countries where this work is at a more advanced stage is the Republic of Maldives, where a corresponding intergovernmental agreement was signed in 2021," he added.
