Russia has pledged to provide up to 200,000 tons of wheat to Africa free of charge by the end of 2023. Dmitry Patrushev, the head of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, made this announcement during a visit to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture's exhibition "To eat our own!" at the International Russia Expo.
"Russia will be providing up to 200,000 tons of wheat to Africa free of charge," stated Patrushev.
In September, the Russian minister of agriculture informed reporters during the Eastern Economic Forum that the free-of-charge shipments of Russian grain to Africa would commence in the near future.
