Russia to restrict air traffic with the US, UK and UAE

From March 20, Russia  restricts air traffic with the United States, Great Britain and the United Arab Emirates. The corresponding order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.


According to the document, from 00:00 Moscow time on March 20, a temporary restriction is imposed on all flights in both directions, except for regular flights Moscow - London, Moscow - New York and Moscow-Abu Dhabi. Charter flights for the evacuation of Russians from these countries will fall under the exception. Flights will be operated only through terminal F of Sheremetyevo airport.


Earlier, Russia restricted air traffic with China, Iran, South Korea, EU countries, including Italy, Germany, France, Spain, as well as with Norway and Switzerland. Other states are also imposing corresponding restrictions.


According to the latest data, more than 190 thousand people in more than 150 countries have been infected with the coronavirus worldwide. Almost eight thousand people died.
