Russia to take part in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair

More than 20 books by Russian authors will be translated into Arabic for the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which will be held April 15-21, 2020.


According to the Russian Emirates resource,  Russia takes part as the guest of honor.


The Russian side will build its own pavilion, as well as prepare a rich literary program with book signing ceremonies, presentations and seminars.


Yuri Pulya, head of the Department of printed media, book publishing and printing of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Media, noted that Russia's participation in the book fair is another step towards strengthening relations between the two countries.


According to him, 23-25 books will be translated into Arabic especially for the event. The works of writers Evgeny Vodolazkin, Zakhar Prilepin and Alexey Ivanov were selected for the exhibition.
