The whole world is used to using the dollar as the main currency of foreign trade, but there is "nothing written about it in the Bible or the Quran", it's not forever. Russian Ambassador to Cairo Georgy Borisenko said this in an interview with TASS.
"The whole world is too used to using the dollar as the main reserve currency and the main currency of foreign trade. There is a notion that since it existed for 80 years after World War II, it should be that way forever. At the same time, I have repeatedly reminded my Egyptian partners that there is nothing written in the Bible or the Quran about the US dollar, and therefore it is not some moral constant of human existence, which is given once and for all," said the ambassador, speaking about the transition of countries to mutual settlements in national currencies.
